Mark Laurence de Guzman is a Consultant working in Rathmore’s Qatar office. He holds a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering and graduated as Cum Laude. Mark is a licensed Civil Engineer in the State of Qatar under the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning (MMUP).
He has obtained a Certificate in Claims Preparation and Dispute Management from the College of Contract Management United Kingdom. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Moreover, he is an APC Candidate of the Philippine Institute of Certified Quantity Surveyors (PICQS) and a member of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE).
With over 10 years’ experience in the industry working on wide variety of projects in the Middle East and the Philippines, Mark has gained comprehensive experience of preparing extension of time, prolongation, and disruption claims. Mark has extensive expertise in helping counsel preparing for and conducting an arbitration under the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Moreover, Mark has been involved in producing claims for litigation and arbitration proceedings, pertaining to construction disputes in the Middle East and the USA.
