Scott Aitken is an Associate Director at Rathmore Consulting and holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying together with a Masters degree in Construction Law & Practice. He holds professional memberships with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and the Chartered Institute of Building.
Scott has gained over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, 17 of those years have been in the Middle East region, engaging in a wide variety of construction and civil engineering projects.
Scott has extensive experience of managing day-to-day commercial & contractual issues that arise in construction contracts from both the Employer’s and Contractor’s side. Complimenting this experience, Scott is adept at formulating narratives and carrying out factual investigations for both claim preparation and defense, as well as liaising with and supporting external legal experts in arbitral and other formal dispute resolution proceedings.
