A construction/engineering professional with 18 years’ experience in planning and scheduling, project controls, delay analysis, claim preparation and defence, and dispute resolution who has worked for main contracting organisations in Qatar, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Philippines.
Vanessa is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) and an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS). She is both PMP and PMI-RMP certified and the first Filipino to acquire the status of an RICS Registered Expert Witness. In 2023, she has been awarded as one of the Top Filipino Engineers in the Middle East.
Vanessa has wide experience in the preparation of time extension claims, prolongation claims, disruption claims, and the like. Moreover, she has acted as a witness of fact and assisted a Delay Expert in separate arbitration cases in Qatar. In addition, she is a volunteer arbitrator for the Annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
In addition, Vanessa has recently completed her Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from RGU Aberdeen Business School, wherein she received the MBA Strategy Award (Sustainability) in 2023 for her outstanding performance on the MBA Business Simulation.
